President Bush has indicated his intention to renominate Edward McGaffigan Jr. as a member of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission for another five-year term. McGaffigan has served as a member of the Commission since 1996. Previously, he was a senior policy adviser to Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.).
Florida Municipal Power Agency has elected Elie Boudreaux III to his third consecutive one-year term as chairman of the board of directors. FMPA also re-elected Vince Ruano as vice chairman, James Welsh as treasurer and Susan Freiden as secretary. The executive committee gained George Adair, Ken Sauer and Rebecca Mattey for three-year terms.
Indus International Inc. has elected Kenneth Lawrence to its board of directors. Lawrence is the former chairman of PECO Energy Company, senior vice president of Exelon, and president and chief operating officer of Exelon Energy Delivery.
Parsons has appointed Charles A. Hansen vice president of its Systems, Defense and Security Division. Hansen will be responsible for developing effective solutions to treat radioactive liquid waste at the Savannah River Site and other locations.
