Info Post

This is a useful high level timeline of events at Fukushima Daiichi. Obviously, it will need to be filled in and revised as more is understood about events there, but this is more than just an excellent starting point. Oh, and it’s in English. The Japan Atomic Industrial Forum (JAIF), who created the timeline, is proving to be an excellent resource and worth a bookmark.

Here’s a couple of good online resources to help you while you’re sorting through the news.

  • An online tool for converting sieverts to rems.
  • A chart on the International Atomic Energy Agency’s website illustrating the International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale (INES), together with an INES user’s manual.
