Here's a summary of what went on in the energy markets last week:

Electricity prices mostly decreased last week (see pages 1 & 2). Gas prices at the Henry Hub fell $0.32 to $5.69/MMBtu, the lowest price over the past year due to ample storage and weaker demand (see page 4).

Nuclear capacity availability was at 97 percent last week. No plants are in refueling or maintenance outages (see pages 2 & 3).

From 2006-2010, the current capacities in the pipeline coming into operation are 44,941 MW for coal, 36,247 MW for natural gas, and 19,159 MW for wind (see page 8).
