Info Post
From ABC (Australia):
New South Wales Premier Bob Carr has called for a debate on the benefits and risks of nuclear power as an alternative energy source.

Amid speculation that his Government may soon announce another coal-fired power station for New South Wales, Mr Carr says he wants the merits of nuclear power canvassed.

"The world's got to debate whether uranium-derived power is more dangerous than coal," he said.

"Coal is looking very dangerous - there ought to be a debate."
One reader writes that this is something of a change in position for Carr, who has been an opponent of building a nuclear reactor in New South Wales, while also being a strong proponent of expanded uranium mining operations.
