Two House committees are holding nuclear-related hearings this week.

The House Government Reform Subcommittee on Energy and Resources will hold a hearing titled "The Next-Generation Nuclear Plant and Hydrogen Production: A Critical Status Report" on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. in 2154 Rayburn Building.

The House Science Subcommittee on Energy will hold a hearing on climate change technology programs at the Department of Energy on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m. in 2318 Rayburn Building. Invited witnesses:
• Stephen D. Eule, Director, U.S. Climate Change Technology Program, Department of Energy
• Judi Greenwald, Director of Innovative Solutions, Pew Center on Global Climate Change
• Daniel M. Kammen, Professor, Department of Nuclear Engineering, University of California, Berkeley
• Chris Mottershead, Adviser on Energy and the Environment, BP, and member of the Advisory Board, National Center for Atmospheric Research.
