Info Post
I just tripped over an announcement of the following event that will be held this Friday night in San Francisco:
Peter Schwartz and Ralph Cavanagh "Nuclear Power, Climate Change, and the Next 10,000 Years"

Doors open 7:00pm, talk at 7:30pm
Free, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The talk will take place at The Herbst Theater, 401 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco.

In a very pointed discussion, two energy experts bring opposite perspectives to the question of whether global climate change justifies reviving nuclear power. Ralph Cavanagh is co-director of the Energy Program at the National Resources Defense Council. Peter Schwartz is co-founder and chairman of Global Business Network.
The Long Now and the Global Business Network are both affiliated with futurist Stewart Brand.

Thanks to the Sierra Club's blog, Compass, for the pointer.
