Duke's Ruth Shaw to Retire Next Spring

We just read the news in today's edition of the Charlotte Observer that long-time Duke Power executive Ruth Shaw will be retiring next Spring. To say that we know Ruth well here at NEI would be an understatement, and here at NEI Nuclear Notes we're particular fans because of her very public support of what we're trying to do here.

Here's hoping she enjoys a well deserved retirement. I'm also tempted to wish her good luck, but experience shows that people like Ruth tend to make their own luck.
